Angelina Jolie Alleges That Brad Pitt Has Not Paid Enough Child Support

Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt Custody Aniston

Earlier this summer, a document surfaced that showed the judge in their divorce case ordered Jolie to allow their six children to spend more time with Pitt.

Jolie's attorneys claimed in the filing that the former couple had "informal arrangements" for the payment of the children's expenses, but stated that Pitt had not adhered to those guidelines.

Meanwhile, a second source tells ET, "Brad always fulfills his commitments" when it comes to his children.

According to new court documents obtained by "Good Morning America", the actress is seeking formal child support from her estranged husband, claiming he has not financially contributed in a "meaningful" way to their six children's well-being since their 2016 separation.

One of those new lawyers is Samantha Bley DeJean, and she wrote the two-page brief that she later filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

They split in September 2016, but Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce seems far from over.

The arrangement for child support was allegedly informal, per the TMZ report, but Jolie claims that Pitt has not even lived up to those informal expectations.

"Respondent has a statutory duty to pay child support".

The court filing contends Pitt "has paid no meaningful child support" since the couple's separation.

But a source claims to ET that Jolie's latest move is in retaliation over the actress being ordered by a judge in June to help fix her children's relationship with Pitt.

The divorce proceedings are nearly at the two year mark, and according to a source, a major part of the delay is finding a custody agreement that works for both actors.

In 2006, Pitt adopted Jolie's children, Maddox and Zahara, both of whom were adopted by Jolie prior to their marriage.

But the Los Angeles Times quoted a source close to Pitt saying that it was all "a publicity stunt".

The September 2016 split quickly turned nasty, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation being called in to investigate claims that Pitt hit their eldest child, Maddox, during an argument on a plane.
