Iran vows to continue oil exports despite Trump's threats

"You have all these different pressures and people are getting upset and for the most part, from what we can tell, they're blaming the regime and they're not really blaming the U.S.", Politico foreign affairs correspondent Nahal Toosi said on the Bill Press Show. Even stronger sanctions targeting Iran's oil sector and central bank are to be re-imposed in early November.

"The U.S. government's performance during the past years has been in a way that the world has realized that the U.S.as an unreliable country that does not abide its commitments", Rouhani stated.

That's because the EU is trying to protect European businesses that are trading in Iran from facing USA sanctions.

Rouhani said in the current situation, the friendly countries should stand beside each other and expand relations.

It involves possible punishments to European companies if they comply with Washington's demands, while offering them a chance to sue the US for interference.

Among those that have suspended plans to invest in Iran are France's oil major Total, its big carmakers PSA and Renault, and their German rival Daimler.

Speaking to state broadcaster IRINN on Wednesday, Rouhani said: "If the Americans want to keep this simplistic and impossible idea in their minds, they should also know its consequences".

Tesla shares dip after Elon Musk proposes going private
Other board members mentioned in the statement included Robyn Denholm, Ira Ehrenpreis, Antonio Gracias and Linda Johnson Rice. Midway through the trading session in NY on Wednesday, Tesla shares were down 5% at $374 after surging 11% on Tuesday.

"The countries now the U.S. is negotiating with have told Washington that they will continue their oil purchases from Iran", he explained. Turkey buys an estimated 9.5bn cubic metres of gas from Iran.

The first wave of United States sanctions took effect on Tuesday.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif branded as doomed to fail the USA attempt of stopping Tehran from exporting oil. Zarif told the state-owned IRAN daily, however, there are now no ongoing talks between the countries.

Rouhani hinted last month that Iran could block the Strait of Hormuz, a major oil shipping route, if the US attempted to stop the Islamic Republic's oil exports. "We can't get drawn into a confrontation with America by falling into this war room trap and playing on a battlefield".

In addition to the labor minister, the Iranian cabinet includes three other economy-related ministers: Finance, Industry and Commerce, and Agriculture.

Iran has dismissed a last-minute offer from the Trump administration for talks, saying it could not negotiate while Washington had reneged on the 2015 deal to lift sanctions.

He has said the deal "failed to achieve the fundamental objective of blocking all paths to an Iranian nuclear bomb" and did not address Tehran's "malign activities, including its ballistic missile programme and its support for terrorism".
