Man United prepare late £65m bid to sign England star

Leicester defender Harry Maguire has been linked to Manchester United

Speaking in a press conference on Thursday ahead of his side's Premier League curtain-raiser against United, live on Sky Sports Premier League, Puel addressed the issue by teasing journalists about a potential transfer.

Maguire, with his qualities on the ball as well as prowess in the air, could have been a top signing for Manchester United, who only faced disappointment in their bid to bolster the heart of defence. The player was offered to them for just £15 million last summer before he completed his move away from Hull City to join Leicester, who paid £12 million to sign him.

"We dominated this game with good play and a lot of chances". It's a good possibility for him to confirm with us, with good ambition with his team-mates and to continue to perform.

"I am happy to keep Harry of course and all our best players".

"I'm happy about Harry and Jamie [Vardy], they came back with a smile". He is our best player.

'Suicidal Male' Steals Plane And Crashes After 'Unauthorized Takeoff' From Sea-Tac
Officials at the Sea-Tac Airport say an airline employee conducted an unauthorized takeoff in Washington state and has crashed. At one point he said that he had hoped he could have a "moment of serenity" in the air but that everything moved by too fast.

The Daily Mail says that Leicester remain adamant that Maguire is not going to be sold before the transfer deadline and neither incoming move is dependant on it.

'It was his first season with Leicester and it's important, and he understands this, that he remains with the club for the owner for a new season and we will see after that'.

In addition to keeping two of their major stars Leicester were also busy bringing in new blood signing centre-backs Caglar Soyuncu (Freiburg) and Filip Benkovic (Dinamo Zagreb) for a combined £29million on the final day of the window.

That makes it seven summer signings at Leicester - following Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans, James Maddison, Danny Ward and Rachid Ghezzal.

The Premier League transfer window may now be closed, but that's not the case in Spain.
