England vs India, second Test, day four

India vs England,Ajinkya Rahane,Cheteshwar Pujara

India has been outclassed by England yet again as the hosts won the second match of the ongoing five-match Test series by an innings and 159 runs at Lord's. In the meantime, despite the heavy defeat, Waqar Younis, the former Pakistan cricketer, reckons that India have the capacity to make a comeback with three matches remaining in the five-match series. After being bowled out for 107 runs in the first innings, they were folded to 130 in the second innings.

The likes of Chris Woakes and Stuart Broad and Sam Curran lent him appropriate support to restrict the Indian batsmen.

Broad took the wickets of Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik in two balls as India looked lost against the swinging ball, but captain Root has played down talk of a whitewash. On the other hand, England are on a roll, with Anderson and Broad - combined age of 68 - bowling as well as they have ever done.

As well as reaching the Lord's milestone, the dismissal - Anderson's 96th against India - made him the highest wicket-taker in test matches between the two nations.

"The bowling unit were exceptional throughout the whole game", said Joe Root, the England captain.

Woakes returned largely due to the absence of Ben Stokes, who is standing trial for affray at a court in Bristol.

But the 36-year-old Lancashire swing specialist exploited them expertly in a match haul of nine for 43 that saw him become the first bowler to take 100 Test wickets at Lord's.

"To get to a position where we could declare after Jonny and Woakesy's magnificent partnership, I am chuffed to bits for Woakesy to get a hundred", said Root. After 5-20 in India's first innings, Anderson got 4-23 in the second. He then came and scored 137* runs to bring his maiden Test century, to put England on the driver's seat.

Trump calls former WH aide Omarosa a "lowlife"
On Saturday, reporters asked Trump during an event at his golf club in New Jersey if he felt betrayed by Manigault Newman. While she doesn't provide direct evidence, she cites three unnamed sources who attest to the existence of the tape.

An inspired spell from Stuart Broad, during which he took four wickets in seven overs for just seven runs, put England on the brink of victory.

Broad took over from Anderson to dismiss Ajinkya Rahane, smartly caught at third slip by Keaton Jennings for 13, and then bowled Cheteshwar Pujara off his pads for 17.

"To get a hundred and be on the honours board is something that will stay with me forever", said Woakes.

Anderson, who took his 100th Test wicket at Lord's earlier in the day, returned to dismiss Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Shami.

"It's five days to go".

Now, after a narrow victory in a thrilling first Test at Edgbaston and a display of superiority here, England will head to one of their happiest hunting grounds in Trent Bridge confident of rapidly wrapping up this Specsavers series.

Kohli, needing prolonged on-field treatment, fell for 17 when caught by debutant Ollie Pope at short-leg off Broad.
