Iran’s Khamenei rules out war, talks with U.S.

US can’t force trade rules on others Germany must invest more in Iran – economy minister

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused the government on Monday of economic mismanagement and said it needed to improve its performance to help the country better weather newly reimposed U.S. sanctions. "More than the sanctions, economic mismanagement [by the government] is putting pressure on ordinary Iranians", he noted. Washington reimposed strict sanctions against Iran last Tuesday and President Donald Trump has threatened to penalise firms from other countries that continue to operate in the Islamic Republic.

The sanctions target Iran's trade in gold and other precious metals, its purchases of United States dollars and its auto industry.

Khamenei reportedly said Monday that the withdrawal from the nuclear pact "is a clear proof that American can not be trusted". "America never remains loyal to its promises in talks. just gives empty words. and never retreats from its goals for talks", Khamenei was quoted as saying by TV. "Beside sanctions, they are talking about war and negotiations", he said via his official Twitter account in English.

Manchester United want Jerome Boateng on loan only
But, their reported £22.3 million bid was quickly knocked back by Die Roten , who were looking for double the amount. Boateng also missed a number of games at the beginning of the 2017-18 season due to another hamstring problem.

A fortnight ago, Guards commander Mohammad Ali Jafari told Mr. Rouhani to take "revolutionary actions to control prices and prevent the enormous increase in the price of foreign currency and gold", in an open letter published by the conservative Tasnim news agency. The 2015 agreement placed tight controls on Tehran's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of global sanctions. The protests over the cost of living have often turned into anti-government rallies.

Trump has said Iran must also stop meddling in conflicts in Syria and Yemen, but Foreign Minister Javad Zarif struck a defiant tone on Monday, telling Qatar's al Jazeera TV: "Iran will not change its policies in the region because of United States sanctions and threats".

Unless Iran's clerical rulers comply with the U.S. demands, more sanctions targeting Iran's oil and shipping industries are set for November.
