I can't get that worked up about Omarosa taping General Kelly in the Situation Room.
She called on the White House to release her personnel file to clear her name. She was vicious, but not smart. "I heard the tape", she said.
The short audio aired ahead of a "Today" show interview with Newman on Monday, part of a publicity tour for Tuesday's release of her book about her time at the White House, Unhinged.
"Omarosa? Omarosa what's going on?"
He continues: "I didn't know that".
The recording comes a day after the reality television star revealed she also recorded Kelly firing her inside the high-security White House Situation Room.
"When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser and nothing but problems". In a tell-all interview with NBC's Meet the Press, she spoke in dramatic terms about the White House's difficulties with race, honesty and loyalty, at the same time that President Donald Trump is reckoning again with criticism of his equivocal response one year ago to violence at a white-supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
On Monday, NBC released another bit of audio Omarosa reportedly recorded during a conversation with Trump immediately following her departure in which Trump says he didn't know about it and is sad to see her go.
"There's a lot of very corrupt things happening in the White House and I am going to blow the whistle on a lot of them", she said.
Deflategate Part 2: NFL Investigating Steelers Use of Deflated Balls in Preseason
Less than 12 hours later, the NFL sent a memo to reporters at the league owned network that basically said, "nothing to see here". There was optimism surrounding the move, with Oakland coach Jon Gruden lauding the quarterback back in his ESPN days.
Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani fumed Monday morning on "Fox & Friends" that Manigault Newman came off as arrogant. In his tweet, he claimed she "begged me for a job, tears in her eyes".
She claimed the recording was made when Kelly took her into the Situation Room, a specially secure room where the president and his top aides address major national security crises, and where personal cell phones are not allowed.
"Who in their right mind thinks it's appropriate to secretly record the White House chief of staff in the Situation Room?" Manigault-Newman told NBC News the conversation took place the day after her dismissal.
"I'll just leave that to your imagination", Manigault Newman coyly answered the question.
She says when she turned down the offer, she received letters from Trump's lawyers telling her to stay quiet.
Manigault Newman said that Trump "never said the n-word in my presence", but in her book she cites unnamed sources who claim to know of the existence of a recording where the president uses that word on the set of "The Apprentice".
"Donald Trump made her". He could not go into specifics about why she was sacked or how she was able to get a recording device in the room.
"I'm in @Omarosa's book on page 149". Add Donald Trump as an interest to stay up to date on the latest Donald Trump news, video, and analysis from ABC News. She called it false imprisonment. "Very shoddy work", Luntz tweeted.
Which brings us to her appearance on "Meet The Press," which she was reportedly able to book because she leveraged a tape of audio she clandestinely recorded at the White House.
