Pogba "Determined" To Become Leader And Stay At Manchester United

Man Utd transfer news LIVE

Given the tension between him and manager Jose Mourinho that probably emboldened Pogba to feel able to state after the Premier League win over Leicester City, in which he scored a penalty, that he would be fined if he told the truth about his state of mind at Old Trafford.

Pogba's future as a Manchester United player is uncertain despite the France worldwide being handed the captain's armband for their opening Premier League game against Leicester.

Cryptically, Pogba followed up with "There are things that I can not say otherwise I will get fined".

Pogba was overlooked as the permanent successor to Michael Carrick as club captain, with Valencia instead getting the nod from manager Jose Mourinho - a decision that reportedly upset the midfielder.

Mourinho also added that the club had to play against a team that spent more than United in the transfer window, while also claiming that other teams are bringing quality players into their side.

United didn't sign a single player in the summer transfer window after July 3rd, and Mourinho spent a good chunk of the preseason complaining about not getting the support he desires in the transfer market.

Rupee fall due to external factors: Government
The rupee has been among the worst performing currencies against the dollar compared with its peers so far this year. Previously, the rupee had dropped 2.4 percent or 148 paise in a single day in August 2013.

Two years after returning to Old Trafford from Juventus in a world-record deal, the 25-year-old is reported to be so unhappy that he has informed executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward of his desire to leave.

Pogba, who was dropped by Mourinho for both legs of the Champions League last-16 loss to Sevilla last term, said there were differences between playing for France and United.

"I am the same, but it's a different team, obviously." he said.

He even went so far as to say that his job is more as a coach than a manager, and that this transition can be generalized to football at large.

Former United defender and Sky Sports pundit Neville said: "The club have spent £700m since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, it's a fortune". For me, it was a dream come true.
