U.S. urges United Kingdom to end support for Iran nuclear deal

President Trump warned United States partners and the rest of the global community against trading with Iran.

The sanctions also concern Tehran's automobile and aviation sector, with tougher sanctions-especially an embargo on Iran's oil and banking sectors-to follow by November 4 should the Islamic Republic fail to accommodate President Trump's terms on "WORLD PEACE".

Accusing Iran of "squandering its money on proxy wars and malign activities overseas", US Ambassador Woody Johnson's op-ed in the Sunday Telegraph asked the UK to "use its considerable diplomatic power and influence" to join the US "as a united front" in its effort to secure "a genuinely comprehensive agreement" on Iran ending its nuclear program.

Mr Johnson even goes over the head of Whitehall and urges British businesses directly to cut ties with Iran.

Iran will soon receive a second batch of enriched uranium up to 20 percent that Russian Federation kept under a nuclear agreement signed between the Persian nation and six world powers.

In the article, Johnson said the Trump administration is "determined to make sure they [the sanctions] are fully enforced".

The United States reimposed stiff economic sanctions on Iran on Monday, ratcheting up pressure on the Islamic Republic despite statements of deep dismay from European allies, three months after President Donald Trump pulled the USA out of the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers.

Johnson's comments come days after the U.K.'s Middle East minister Alistair Burt said Britain would not join the U.S.in sanctioning Iran, Reuters reported. He added, "The President has been explicit: any businesses that put their commercial interests in Iran ahead of the global good will risk serious consequences for their trade with the U.S".

"Together, we can help bring about the peace and prosperity in Iran that the whole world wants to see". Joe Kaeser, the chief executive of German industrial conglomerate Siemens, summed up the harsh realities of United States economic influence over European business when he told CNN in May that the company would stop all new deals in Iran, following Trump's withdrawal from the nuclear deal. "We don't sympathise with the sanctions, we don't think they are appropriate and we don't interact with them, but we are committed to protect our people".

On Tuesday, Foreign Office minister Alistair Burt said that the USA had "not got this right" and Britain was ready to stand up to Trump, telling the BBC: "Sometimes you need to take a stand against friends".

"We made it clear that we regard the nuclear deal as an important part of the region's security".
