YouTube jumps into action as viral film trailer terrifies unsuspecting viewers

Taissa Farmiga

YouTube has since removed the ad, though those of you fearless enough can watch it above.

Per YouTube's violent and shocking content in ads policy, things such as "gruesome imagery", ads with "the intention of shock or scare" and "shots of violence or gore" at the forefront of the scene are all things that go against policy.

YouTube has banned an ad for upcoming horror film The Nun (out September 7) from the video site because the clip violates its "violent and shocking content" policy. Following the backlash, YouTube took off The Nun ad but there are still many places and channels where you can view the banned advertisement.

The face of "the nun", her demonic green eyes bulging, jumps onto the screen with a crash of scary music that has been likened to a scream. This video does not auto play.

Twitter user Roshan was one of those who complained that the ad did its job.

Kevin De Bruyne suffers a major injury in training
Raheem Sterling and Bernando Silva scored to secure a comfortable victory. De Bruyne was also in attendance at the premiere, arriving on crutches.

On Monday, YouTube tweeted to @bbydvas: "Appreciate you bringing this to our attention!" You can watch it here if you dare.

Given all the shocking videos that kids under 12 can come across on YouTube, it's confusing why they picked on New Line's The Nun. Don't forget to subscribe for more exclusive interviews and photos, only in EW.

The Nun is the latest spin off from The Conjuring franchise and stars American Horror Story rising star Taissa Farmiga, who also happens to be the sister of Vera Farmiga, who leads the Conjuring as Lorraine Warren.

The movie, which features Bonnie Aarons as the Demon Nun, is part of the Conjuring universe.

"The Nun", an offspring of "The Conjuring" series, focuses on the suicide of a nun in 1950s Romania and, according to MovieWeb, was filmed in a spooky castle in Romania.
