Trump expects to revoke Ohr's security clearance

I think Bruce Ohr is a disgrace.

"I think Bruce Ohr is a disgrace", Trump said.

Less than 24 hours after Sanders' statement, Trump told a reporter that Brennan was sacked over ties to Robert Mueller's probe into Russian election meddling. Plus, Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort's fate lies in the hands of a deliberating jury.

Short form is that Rod Rosenstein says he was not directly connected to the investigation, but he served as associate deputy attorney general and has a past working relationship with Christopher Steele, who complied the infamous Steele Dossier which details facts that led investigators to worry that Russian operatives may have information that would compromise Donald Trump.

Ohr knows the co-founder of Fusion GPS-the firm hired by the Clinton campaign to do opposition research on Trump, according to CBS.

The White House said Brennan - a notable Trump critic - had been stripped of clearance due to his "erratic" behavior.

The Republican president also lashed out again at Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading an investigation into possible collusion between Trump's 2016 campaign and Moscow.

Later yesterday, the retired Navy admiral who oversaw the raid that killed Osama bin Laden called Mr Trump's moves "McCarthy-era tactics".

Petraeus; former director of national intelligence James R. Clapper Jr.; and former deputy CIA directors John McLaughlin, Stephen Kappes, Avril Haines, David Cohen and Michael Morell. "Beyond that, this action is quite clearly a signal to the former and current officials", the statement said.

Former CIA director John Brennan, whose security clearance you revoked on Wednesday, is one of the finest public servants I have ever known.

In revoking Brennan's clearance, Trump on Wednesday accused the former Central Intelligence Agency director, one of his most outspoken critics, of making "a series of unfounded and outrageous allegations - wild outbursts on the internet and television - about this Administration". "Decisions on security clearances should be based on national security and not political views".

Mr Clapper and former CIA Director Michael Hayden have appeared on a White House list of people who may also have their security clearances revoked.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said the United States was not going to take Turkey's detention of U.S. Christian pastor Andrew Brunson "sitting down", a day after his Treasury chief said Washington could hit Ankara with further sanctions.

The Republican chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee is challenging former CIA Director John Brennan's claim that President Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russian Federation.
