Video shows Harvey Weinstein inappropriately touching woman

Melissa Thompson, who has previously publicly complained of abusive behaviour by Harvey Weinstein during a 2011 business meeting in NY, gave a tape of the encounter to Sky News.

Vice reports that Melissa Thompson, 28, recorded the September 2011 meeting as part of her demonstration of a new video platform her tech startup was pitching to the Weinstein Company.

The shocking footage begins by showing Weinstein rejecting a handshake from Thompson and preceding to hug her and rubbing her back.

At one point, she jokes: "Data's so hot right now". She says that upon arrival, she was ushered into an empty office where she turned on her laptop's video camera, intending to use the live footage she was shooting as part of her demonstration. Give it to me. "It's okay, would you like to do it some more?" he can be heard saying. He asks, "Am I allowed to flirt with you?" to which Thompson responds, "Umm, we'll see, a little bit".

He then strokes her arm while she continues trying to discuss her business.

Thompson says she was expecting to have a meeting with the marketing team at Weinstein's company but the movie producer entered the room alone.

Instead, she alleges, he lured her to his hotel room, where he raped her.

Meantime, prosecutors are challenging Weinstein's attorneys' claims that they hid evidence from the jury that could have helped the disgraced filmmaker deny his sexual assault allegations, including one email in which an alleged victim wrote, "I love you, always do". Instead, Weinstein tells his staff "don't interrupt", before closing the door and locking it.

Meghan Markle's Sister Stoops to Her Lowest Low Yet
This gesture was just one way that Meghan has tried to keep up with the few remaining friends she has left. They watched the ceremony with pride, and home some day to welcome Meghan and her prince to Georgia.

Thompson tells Sky News that at one point in the meeting Weinstein reached his hand under the desk and put it under Thompson's skirt.

In a statement, Weinstein's lawyer Benjamin Brafman said: "The video, when viewed in its entirety, in context and not in select excerpts, demonstrates that there is nothing forceful, but casual - if not awkward - flirting from both parties ..."

Sky News did not air the entire video.

"Anything short of that is meant to make Mr. Weinstein appear inappropriate and even exploitative", lawyer Ben Brafman said. They include: film actress Rose McGowan, who said Weinstein raped her in 1997 in Utah; "Sopranos" actress Annabella Sciorra, who said he raped her in her NY apartment in 1992; and the Norwegian actress Natassia Malthe, who said he attacked her in a London hotel room in 2008.

Thompson's rape allegation is part of a class action lawsuit against the former Hollywood producer, whose career was toppled by a series of rape, sexual assault and harassment allegations a year ago.

Speaking to Sky News about the ordeal, Thompson said Weinstein was an artist at his craft, and delicately caused confusion, unrest and discomfort in a situation in which he had power.

Claiming that the video tried to malign Weinstein for financial gain, Barfman said facts mattered.
