All in all, this is everything we want in a sequel for a beloved film, and we can't wait for the East wind to blow and bring Mary Poppins back into our lives.

The story was thrust into the spotlight a few years ago as well when Disney released Saving Mr. Banks, following Walt Disney (Tom Hanks) trying to convince author P.L. Travers (Emma Thompson) to adapt her beloved story.

Mary and Jack: The original Mary Poppins hit theaters in 1964, starring Julie Andrews as the title character and Dick Van Dyke as the chimney sweep Burt.
