More drama in Pittsburgh - WR Antonio Brown absent from work on Monday

NFL Kansas City Chiefs at Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown didn't show up for work on Monday after the Steelers' 42-37 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, which might not be as big of a red flag if it hadn't been for his tweet Monday morning.

That raised some eyebrows, and according to Ed Bouchette and Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Brown was a no-show at the Steelers facility for Monday's meetings and film study.

The Steelers are already dealing with the absence of running back LeVeon Bell, who is holding himself out of the lineup and has been called out by several teammates for his actions.

The context of that answer suggests he allowed at least a little of the dirt to slip through the screen door, because there would be no reason for Tomlin to discuss an excused absence with one of his most prominent employees.

You can overlook the heated exchanges on the sidelines with coaches - those things happen more often than you may realize.

That loss and that tie came after an offseason where quarterback Ben Roethlisberger called out the organization for drafting a quarterback in the third round. A 3-1 or 4-0 stretch here would likely quiet concerns in Pittsburgh, but if they're headed into their bye week at 2-3-1 or worse, the chatter will only grow louder. "There's opportunities for us to respond to it, particularly in the early part of the year, to utilize negative experiences and things that occur to educate our team at this point in the journey, so it becomes a non-factor as we move forward".

Four dead following shootout in Mexico City's 'mariachi' plaza
In August, police arrested the presumed leader of the gang, Roberto Moyado Esparza "El Betito". "It was not random", he said. It is also the busiest time of year for Garibaldi Plaza, a beloved but seedy square that draws heavily on Mexican folklore.

Antonio Brown's agent is trying to calm the storm his client unintentionally caused.

But, well, after firing off that tweet, we don't know what Brown did. I think he was getting frustrated and he took it out on some people. "That's just how I choose to approach it". "I give Randy a lot of credit not losing it on him".

"We will talk about it and other things", Tomlin said.

"I'm focused on real legitimate things".

The Pittsburgh Steelers can't seem to get their best players at work. We'll see how things play out in the coming days.
