Captain Marvel's first trailer is finally out!

As noted by the eagle-eyed reporters over at Vulture, there seems to be a odd, furry figure hanging out off to the far-left edge of the poster, exiting the image away from Brie Larson's Captain Marvel.

The next big event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Captain Marvel, and the studio has unveiled its first trailer for the film. It's the sort of world-ending threat one imagines Captain Marvel would be perfectly capable of handling on her own, but when Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors drops on September 30, she's going to have more than enough backup to get the job done.

The film takes place in the 1990s, which is apparent from the start of the trailer as our hero crashes into a Blockbuster Video store.

The trailer opens with Carol Danvers crashing to the Earth- with her memories already wiped away of her time as a US Air Force pilot after she had joined the Kree Starforce.

Bucs begin taking sides on Ryan Fitzpatrick or Jameis Winston
It would be foolish to insert Winston in for week 4 if the Buccaneers are winning while Fitzpatrick is in the lineup. He missed the opener at New Orleans and last week's home victory over defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia.

Captain Marvel, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, stars Brie Larson, Jude Law, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Gemma Chan, Lee Pace, Djimon Hounsou, Clark Gregg and Lashana Lynch.

The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Captain America quickly abandoned his direct connection to the U.S. Army after the his first movie, but that's understandable since he spend decades encased in ice and nearly everyone he served with was dead when he woke up.

Captain Marvel will be released in theaters on March 8, 2019.
