Pats temper expectations as Josh Gordon practices for first time

Gordon participated in his first Patriots practice Wednesday and wore No. 10.

During an interview with Jim Gray on Westwood One Radio this week, the Patriots quarterback said he wants to practice with Gordon before he puts any expectations on his newest teammate.

It never came to that, with the Patriots offering a fifth-round pick for a freakishly athletic player on the field, who often has been less than dependable off it.

With all of the talent that he has, the Browns have held on to Gordon despite him serving multiple suspensions.

After losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2, the New England Patriots went out and traded for one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL.

Cyrus Jones and Corey Coleman are Patriots, again. His struggles with substance abuse cast a heavy shadow over his career.

Disney and Marvel apparently aren't quite done with Loki just yet
These will represent a big shift from Marvel's other MCU efforts, which have generally not featured stars from the films. Both Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen are expected to reprise their roles for their respective series.

They've been trying to plug holes at receiver after starting the season without Julian Edelman (suspended for first four games), Danny Amendola (signed with Miami in free agency) and Brandin Cooks (traded to Los Angeles Rams).

"I always think trust is whatever receiver is out there, you know, you tell them to run a certain route and they run it the way that you talked about it, the ball is thrown, it's caught, it's a positive play and then you do it again", Brady said. "I think that it's all about him getting comfortable".

The Patriots have brought in several new faces since the season began, creating a constant jumbling on the depth chart. He posted a league-best 1,646 yards in 2013, but has appeared in only 11 games since.

The proximity to Brady may be an effort to get the receiver up to speed while making sure Gordon doesn't spin out of control. Chung appeared in all 16 regular-season games each of the past two seasons.

The Patriots passing game definitely hasn't been one of the team's strengths this year.
