Kavanaugh, Ford agree to testify on Thursday

The Latest Lawyer for 2nd accuser offers sworn statement

A former Yale university class mate, Deborah Ramirez told The New Yorker that Kavanaugh assaulted her at a dormitory party.

Ms Deborah Ramirez, 53, told the magazine Mr Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself to her during a college party at Yale University in the 1980s, thrust his genitals in her face and caused her to touch them without her consent.

US President Donald Trump has made a decision to stand behind his Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

The New Yorker has published a second accusation against Judge Brett Kavanaugh. At that point, Kavanaugh allegedly put his penis in front of her face, and she accidentally touched it as she pushed him away.

Kavanaugh's confirmation proceedings have been thrown into turmoil by the accusation of California professor Christine Blasey Ford, who says he sexually assaulted her while they were both teenagers. Kavanaugh now denies new allegations that, again under the influence of alcohol, he pulled down his trousers and waved his genitals in the face of a college classmate. Avenatti, who has said he's considering running for president as a Democrat, said on Twitter his client is not Ramirez. "This 35-year-old uncorroborated claim is the latest in a coordinated smear campaign by the Democrats created to tear a good man down", said Kupec.

Trump, in a tweet on Friday, challenged Ford to produce a police report, claiming if the incident was as bad as she said, the authorities would have been notified.

According to The New York Times, the federal judge has calendars from the summer of 1982 he plans to share with senators showing he was out of town most of that time with no indication of the party of concern.

"I would think an FBI investigation would be warranted", she told The New Yorker. She was "foggy and slurring her words", according to The New Yorker, when a male student exposed himself to her.

U.S. President Donald Trump has defended his Supreme Court nominee and questioned why Ford did not report the incident to police.

"What I believe is what I read", she said.

The allegation comes at a crucial time in Kavanaugh's confirmation process, with days until Ford is set to lay out her own allegation that Kavanaugh assaulted her when they were both in high school.

The new information came hours after the Senate committee agreed to a date and time for a hearing after almost a week of uncertainty over whether Ford would appear to tell her story.

Grassley's spokesman, Taylor Foy, accused Senate Democrats of withholding information on the latest allegation and of seeking a "political takedown" of Kavanaugh. Ramirez was chosen repeatedly, she said, and quickly became inebriated.

"She has agreed to move forward with a hearing even though the committee has refused to subpoena Mark Judge", it said. "Enough is enough. Brett Kavanaugh needs to withdraw immediately".

Attorneys for Brett Kavanaugh's accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, are citing "important progress" on a high-stakes public hearing to air out her decades-old sexual assault claim against the Supreme Court nominee.

The White House is approaching Ms Ford's potential testimony with trepidation, nervous that an emotional performance might not just damage Mr Kavanaugh's chances but could further energize female voters to turn out against Republicans in November.
