LG Electronics showcased "V40", the company's the world's first smartphone equipped with five camera lenses and powerful photo imaging features.

Many people wondered if "more is better" when it came to cameras and LG V40 ThinQ is proving to us that the answer to that question is yes. The smartphone comes with a triple camera setup at the back of the device and features two cameras in the front. It is the first smartphone that offers five camera sensors experience.

On the other hand, LG believes that its next-generation flagship smartphone has all the features it needs to compete against everyone, including Google and OnePlus. It has a dimension of 158.8×75.7×7.6mm weighing at 169 grams which is still slightly lighter than OnePlus 6' 177 grams. The phone features a glass back which allowed LG to embed wireless charging technology to the phone. It is offered in four color options - new Aurora Black, new Platinum Gray, new Moroccan Blue and bold Carmine Red. The device features military grade durability, and can withstand the MIL-STD 810G drop test. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with a Adreno 630 GPU. It has 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage on board along with micro SD card support up to 512 GB.

Kyrie Irving says he plans on re-signing with Celtics

The phone runs on the 8.1 Oreo version of Android ad Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. It is also upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie). The main highlight of this device is its cameras capabilities. It has three sensors on the rear and two at the front. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear side. The primary 12-megapixel sensor gets f/1.5 aperture, 1.4-micron pixel size and 78-degree viewing angle, the second 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor comes with f/1.9 aperture, 1-micron pixel size, and 107-degree viewing angle, and the third 12-megapixel sensor sports a telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 1-micron pixel size, and 45-degree viewing angle. The triple camera set up is divided with the 12MP lens of focal length f1.5, 12MP lens with focal length f1.9 and the front super wide camera lens of 16MP with focal length 1.9.

According to LG, Cine Shot is its very own gif-life maker, which adds a little bit of movement to your stills. The 8 MP camera has a bright f/1.9 aperture and an 80° lens, while the 5 MP camera has a f/2.4 aperture and a 90° lens on top.

Both devices have a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 3300mAh battery powers the phone, when it comes time to recharge, you can use Quick Charge 3.0 via a wired connection or you can opt for wireless charging. The media invitation for the LG V40 ThinQ announced that LG would announce the smartphone at the NY event at 5 PM EDT (2:30 am IST) on October 3 and on the next day at the Science Park in Seoul's Magok district at 10 am KST (6:40 am IST).
