You Need To Watch Cardi B's OTT American Music Awards Performance

Just two days after lighting up the internet with a rare, impassioned political statement, Taylor Swift continued fanning flames - literally! - at the American Music Awards on Tuesday night (October 9). After she urged her fans to vote on Sunday evening, and supported Democratic candidates, the voter registration numbers have spiked, Conservatives are reacting, even Trump commented, and the world has sat up to take notice of this young woman asserting her political voice for the first time.

Accepting her artist of the year prize at the fan-voted awards, Swift said: "This award and every single award given out tonight were voted on by the people, and you know what else is voted on by the people?" And you know what else is voted on by the people is the midterm elections on November 6. It's the midterm elections on November 6.

Swift also performed the show's opening number. Considering she's only 28 years old and it doesn't seem like she's planning on ending her music career anytime soon, it definitely seems possible that she could pull this one out!

Swift went on to say that she will be voting for Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives, and encouraged followers to register to vote. Her name is Claire and she's very pregnant. In the entire month of September, 190,178 people registered to vote.

Terry announces retirement, set to become Henry’s assistant at Aston Villa
Chelsea legend John Terry has announced his retirement from club football after over two decades of trophy laden career. He wasn't just superb for his club side as he also scored six times in 78 appearances for the Three Lions of England.

"Please, please educate yourself on the candidates running in your state and vote based on who most closely represents your values", the "Bad Blood" singer added.

Watch all the performances below (bare with us as we find all the links). He has the year's top-selling album with "Scorpion" and also scored three No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The show will also pay tribute to Aretha Franklin, who died in August.

XXXTentacion won for Favorite Album - Soul/R&B, after his death in June. It was days after he was named best new artist at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Her album, "Invasion of Privacy", was surprisingly shut of the favorite rap/hip-hop album category.

Taylor Swift has a LOT to celebrate after this year's American Music Awards!
