It's not the first time Gomez has sought professional treatment to address anxiety, panic attacks, and depression triggered by her lupus.

"As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given."

Selena previously booked herself into a Tennessee facility in 2016 after she also suffered anxiety and depression during her Revival tour, Teen Vogue reports. Her message referred to the hurtful impact of "negative comments".
