Injured Bosa leaves Ohio State to prep for pro career

He has been replaced in the lineup by Chase Young, a sophomore who was one of the top 10 recruits in the country in the class of 2018.

Nick Bosa has played his last snap as an Ohio State Buckeye, a decision that, John Bosa said, did not come easy. "Nick is a first-class guy".

Bosa had surgery to fix the core muscle injury September 20, and his father said a few days later that he wouldn't be able to rejoin the Buckeyes until sometime in November at the earliest.

"It's hard on him", Bosa's father told Sports Illustrated Tuesday. The Buckeyes' next game is against Purdue on October 20. To John Bosa, that's not enough time for his son to recover. "It's not about rehabbing so you can be back on the used vehicle lot or be a mechanic", he told SI.com.

A major factor in Nick Bosa's decision is that some draft analysts have projected him to be the No. 1 pick, with the consensus that he will be among the top three selections.

Ariana Grande taking a social media break after split
Using some colorful language, she wrote on another Instagram Story that she nearly let anxiety ruin her appearance on the show. Ariana Grande said she's taking a break from the online world following her split from Pete Davidson .

The 6-foot-4, 263-pounder, who wore the same No. 97 his brother did for the Buckeyes, played in 30 games, with 29 tackles, 17½ sacks and two fumble recoveries, one of them for a touchdown. A later update from Bosa's father was that Bosa would be out at least until being re-evaluated in November.

Tim May and Bill Rabinowitz of The Columbus Dispatch reported on Tuesday that Bosa has made a decision to focus on training for his National Football League career once he is cleared to return and does not plan to play for Ohio State again. It's just something you've got to deal with and move forward, just like early entries in the draft.

"This just happened. We're still debating on how to do it", he said.

Meyer hadn't addressed Bosa's departure with the team yet.
