Samsung Galaxy S10 could have a third, cheaper model

Samsung's folding phone WILL go on sale next year along with a notchless Galaxy S10

Bloomberg has a report out this week that echoes several elements we've heard in the past regarding the oft-rumored Galaxy S10, one of Samsung's planned flagship smartphones for next year. The 5G chipset, which is still in development, will allow users to transfer data "dozens of times" faster than the fourth-generation networks in use now.

The two more expensive models are said to boast three cameras on the back, while the less expensive model won't. The move is likely to compete with other Chinese rivals like Huawei, which offers premium devices at lower prices. Bloomberg delivers one more exciting detail about the phone about the primary reason why one would worry about foldable Android phones: the user experience. There will be a standard 5.8-inch Galaxy S10 with curved edges, a bigger Galaxy S10 Plus with nearly all the features of the normal S10, and a newer as well as cheaper S10 with a flat screen. More precisely, we could see two expensive S10 handsets with curved displays measuring 6.1 inches and 6.4 inches, respectively, and a more affordable model sporting a flat 5.8-inch display. The selfie camera is somehow going to be both "visible and tucked under the screen".

Samsung Galaxy S10-5G and Foldable Plans?

The sources also noted that Samsung has finally succeeded in embedding a fingerprint sensor under the Galaxy S10's display, which will be released in three versions, including a cheaper variant to appeal to the masses.

Apple Watch Series 4 launched: Top 4 features you should know about
Unveiled at the company's Gather Round event in Cupertino, it will be available soon after the also new iPhone XS and XS Max . Similar to the iPhone X, the XR gets a notch which also houses the same advance sensors which enable Face ID authentication.

Some worrying news for fans of the headphone jack: Samsung is reportedly "toying" with the idea of an S10 without the 3.5mm audio input connector.

The S10 will also ship with Android 9.0 Pie. "Please stay tuned", Samsung said in a statement. Codenamed the 'Winner, ' the smartphone will fold into portrait orientation. One is said to be a standard version while the other will be the Plus version we have seen in recent years. The prototype weighs over 200 grams because of it's large screens and the bendable display would not include an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device will flip open similar to flip phones of the past and feature a glossy film used in the world of photography to aid the bending.

Generally speaking, the phone will resemble the device that was presented in a concept video that was published by Samsung in 2014. If the accessory makers create these products, then they are doing it with a smartphone design in mind. Additionally, when the screen does break, it "shatters like dried paper".
