Watch the Final Super Smash Bros

Nintendo has confirmed the two final fighters of Super Smash Bros.Ultimate, an announcement that squashes recent rumors of a possible five character addition.

There's no firm release dates for the new content - Nintendo stresses they're still being worked on - but there's a general expectation that all five packs will release in the next year.

Nintendo posted the following details about the characters to Twitter during the announcement livestream. An example of fighting against these is Fire Emblem's Owain being shown as a Spirit, which gives increased power to melee weapons, but also makes the enemy taunt a lot, like the character's personality.

There was a possible hint as to what the new characters would be, as director Masahiro Sakurai spoke about how there were a number of games, such as Xenoblade Chronicles 2, that they couldn't add playable characters for because the games didn't exist when they started development.

Piranha Plant is also coming.

Chelsea drawn at Stamford Bridge again in Carabao Cup quarter-finals
Lampard's new side had his old side absolutely rattled for long periods here, with Mason Mount and Tom Huddlestone outstanding. With rotation likely, Loftus-Cheek will be one of the favourites to start for Chelsea and could yet again find the net.

Ken Masters is joining Super Smash Bros.

Instead there are collectable objects called spirits, with the main story mode revolving around all the Nintendo characters (except apparently Kirby) becoming merely disembodied souls. Players will be able to use their acquired Spirits in battle against other players online. The presentation also touched upon more Assist Trophies.

The online mode will try to prioritize finding opponents that are nearby, and Nintendo recommends buying an Ethernet adapter for the Switch to get more stable connections.

New items will include the Banana Gun, Killing Edge, Bomber, Death's Scythe, Staff, Ramblin' Evil Mushroom, and Rage Blaster.
