Queen Elizabeth Reportedly Invites Meghan Markle's Mother Doria Ragland for Christmas

Meghan Markle is gearing up for her second Christmas at Sandringham, the first she'll attend with Prince Harry as an official member of the Royal Family and with their "little bump" in tow.

A source close to the family says that the invitation is a "mark of [the Queen's] respect" for Meghan, an acknowledgement that she doesn't have any family in England.

A source added: "She has never been asked to join the royal household for Christmas, and she would love to be regarded as part of the royal family".

Typically, non-royals do not spend the night at the Norfolk estate, and while Middleton's family has attended church with the royals on Christmas morning, they have not spent the night.

A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace has so far declined to comment.

Mr Markle pulled out because of health problems just days before she was due to walk down the aisle and admitted he had staged paparazzi pictures.

Pilot dead as two light aircraft collide near Ottawa
There was reportedly one person overseas the crashed plane, while the second aircraft carried two, a father and son. A smaller aircraft has crashed in a field, killing the pilot, while the larger one was redirected for landing.

Doria's composure during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding back in May left a lasting impression on the Queen, especially in the midst of all the drama surrounding Meghan's father, Thomas Markle.

Meghan was last seen in public with her mother in September to mark the launch of a cookbook at an outdoor reception in Kensington Palace.

The duchess, who worked with Grenfell campaigners on the book, Together, said it had been a "labour of love".

The invitation to Christmas dinner has also fuelled rumours that Doria Ragland may move to London, from her home in Los Angeles.

Meghan and Harry recently returned to the United Kingdom from their mammoth Commonwealth tour and will be spending their first Christmas together as husband and wife in December.
