'Everything makes no sense' - Andrey Rublev criticizes Next Gen ATP Finals

Stefanos Tsitsipas blasts two Gen ATP Finals rules

Stefanos Tsitsipas capped a breakthrough season by winning the Next Gen ATP Finals decider against Alex de Minaur on Saturday.

The young Greek star, and number one seed, completed a flawless run through the tournament with a 2-4, 4-1, 4-3 (3), 4-3 (3) victory over the 19-year-old de Minaur.

In the other semi, Tsitsipas, who's ranked No. 15 in the world, beat 2017 runner-up Andrey Rublev 4-3 (3) 3-4 (5) 4-0 2-4 4-3 (2). It's a shame it couldn't finish with a win but I couldn't be prouder.

One of those clashes came in the final of an ATP Challenger Tour event in Segovia, Spain last August, when the Spaniard lifted his first trophy at that level.

Second seed de Minaur - who began the season at No. 208 in the world rankings and reached a career-high 31 last month - had been undefeated until the final.

Top-seeded Tsitsipas had approached the NextGen ATP Finals semis match against Russia's Andrey Rublev in great form.

In sets up to four games in the under-21 tournament in Milan, Tsitsipas won 2-4 4-1 4-3 (6-3) 4-3 (6-3).

Oil prices rise 1.5% after Saudi Arabia announces supply cut in December
The drop in prices came after the USA said it would allow eight countries, including India, to continue importing crude from Iran. While benchmark Brent crude is trading below $70 a barrel, the West Texas Intermediate dropped below $60 a barrel.

De Minaur was in uncharted territory, having lost just one set throughout round-robin play, but he quickly regrouped.

"I'm playing well, I'm feeling well, and I'm happy to be the star", said Tsitsipas, 20.

"The coaching on court I'm really not a big fan of, to be honest with you", he was quote as saying by Sport360.

"I stayed calm although I had a chance twice to win the match but remained calm".

"I've played some incredible tennis throughout the whole year".

'Hopefully I'm going to make the pre-season like I never did before and I can perform well next season and can compete with the top players'.
