Nasri set for Premier League return

Samir Nasri

Nasri had the drip treatment at a Los Angeles clinic two years ago while he was on loan at Sevilla from City during the 2016/17 season, prompting the Spanish anti-doping agency to open an investigation.

The 31-year-old is subsequently signing a six-month contract with injury-hit West Ham, with the option for a longer deal.

Nasri is a free agent after having his contract with Turkish club Antalyaspor terminated in January after he was handed an 18-month ban for a doping violation.

English football is set to welcome back French playmaker Samir Nasri, one of the players who contributed to a new era of success at Manchester City.

Nasri is able to resume playing again in December but has been free to train since the start of this month and has spent time with his former manager at Manchester City in east London.

Chiefs' maligned defence shines in victory over Arizona
It all helped Kansas City hold off Arizona to win at Arrowhead Stadium for the 22nd time in their last 26 regular-season games. Arizona answered with a time-consuming 75-yard touchdown drive of its own.

It was alleged Nasri received 500 millilitres of hydration in the form of sterile water containing micronutrients while on holiday in the US during a time when he was playing for Sevilla, on load from Manchester City.

After the worldwide break, West Ham entertain Nasri's former club and current league leaders Manchester City at the London Stadium.

August saw UEFA extend Nasri's doping ban from six to 18 months, his suspension backdated to July 1, 2017 although he has played since then.

Nasri has not featured for any club since representing Turkish side Antalyaspor previous year.
