Salman has topped the list for the 3rd consecutive year and interestingly, his earnings constitute 8.06% of the total earnings, Rs 3,140.25 crore of the top 100 celebrities for the year, as per Forbes India.

With no movie releases in 2017, Shah Rukh Khan, who was at the second spot on the 2017 Forbes India Celebrity list, fell out of the top 10. On the top of the list is once again Bollywood superstar Salman Khan who earned over Rs 253 crore through his films, TV appearances and brand endorsements between October 1, 2017, and September 30, 2018. She started her year with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, Padmaavat that had domestic box office collection of more than Rs. 300 crores.

Virat Kohli's earnings have been recorded at Rs 228.09 crore while Akshay's earnings are at 185 crore.

The list has been dominated by the Bollywood celebrities and sports persons, most of the prominent names featuring in it.

Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan hold the sixth and the seventh positions respectively.

Ranveer Singh is number eight with Rs 84.67 crores and Ajay Devgn ranks tenth on the list with Rs 74.5 crores.

On the fifth position stands cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, with earnings of Rs 101.77 crore.

Meanwhile, 2.0 star Rajinikanth featured at #14 with earnings of Rs 50 crore. Though he retired from the game in 2013, his earnings stood at 80 crore this year compared to the average of 73.12 crore over the past seven years.

In Telugu film Industry, 7 celebrities have occupied place in the list of Forbes India Celebrity 100. Padukone was placed fourth in the list with earnings of Rs 112.8 crore during the year under review.
