HBO drops first teaser of Season 8

The 39-second animated clip shows ice and fire sweeping over a map of Westeros.

Winter is almost here!

Talk of the upcoming season of Game of Thrones (and a possible prequel) has been circling the web for some time now and after the premiere date was revealed last month, fans now have a teaser to hold themselves over until the full season or trailer arrives. The network released a new teaser trailer today for the show's final season, one that doesn't contain any new footage, but just plays on the title of George R.R. Martin's novels, A Song of Ice and Fire, on which of course the show is based.

Unai Emery reveals match for Laurent Koscielny's return
The French striker was joined in the replies by teammates Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The otherwise impressive Rojo gave possession away under pressure and Lacazette broke through the middle.

The teaser was first shown at a "Game of Thrones" panel at Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in Brazil.

It's all a big tease of a brewing battle between Daenerys, the North, and the Lannisters as they fight each other and the looming threat of the White Walkers during season eight of the HBO series. But the story of Game of Thrones has always been about fire and ice, be it White Walkers and Targaryens, or aunts and nephews who may unite the kingdom by being in accidentally incestuous relationships. Soon, we see a lion, representing the Lannisters, getting torched in fire. One example involves a dramatic scene towards the end of the show's seventh season, which concluded by leaving us with quite a gap to deal with before things pick back up in April for the eighth and final season.
