Trump to name Heather Nauert as United Nations ambassador tomorrow, reports say

Trump to name Heather Nauert as next U.S. ambassador to the U.N.

Nauert would replace Haley, who announced in October that she would be departing her position as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations at the close of 2018.

Nauert's nomination had been rumoured for weeks, and she had started handing over some of her responsibilities as spokeswoman to her deputy, Robert Palladino. Trump had a fractious relationship with Nauert's first boss, the former secretary of state Rex Tillerson, but continued to hold a favorable view of the state department's top spokeswoman.

Nauert joined the State Department previous year after a career as a television anchor and correspondent at Fox News.

After Haley announced that she'd be stepping down this past October, several outlets reported that Nauert was expected to be shortlisted for the role.

Nikki Haley has been a very popular figure among conservatives for her tough attitude against anti-American attitudes at the United Nations. The measure won a large majority, but not enough to secure the two-thirds needed for it to pass.

Haley rattled the United Nations when she arrived in January 2017 vowing that the United States will be "taking names" of countries that oppose Trump's foreign policy, particularly regarding Israel.

Kim Kardashian 'doesn't know' if Kylie Jenner secretly Wednesday Travis Scott
It was recently reported that Kylie Jenner was extremely disturbed by the Travis Scott's lookalike who pulled the cheating hoax. Taking to his Instagram Stories, he wrote: "Trolls always wanna create some fake s**t to destroy real love".

Her appointment to the United Nations role would have to be approved by the US Senate.

"There's no personal reason", she said of her departure.

Resolutions adopted by the General Assembly are non-binding, but they carry political weight and are seen as a barometer of world opinion.

Fox News said Mr Trump would tweet about the appointment on Friday morning, while Bloomberg said it had been told of the decision to appoint Ms Nauert by three sources.

The president considered Nauert for the position among a list of potential nominees that included former White House aide Dina Powell and ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell.
