White House chief of staff Kelly to resign in days, reports CNN

President Trump's Chief of Staff John Kelly attends a briefing on this year's hurricane season at FEMA headquarters this month

The report was published shortly after the outlet revealed that Kelly is likely to be ousted from the White House in the coming days and that he's no longer talking to President Donald Trump.

Kelly had sought to bring more order and stability to a White House that has often been chaotic under the unpredictable Trump. The move could be announced at a scheduled White House dinner tonight with Trump and senior White House staff.

However its important to note the president had nothing but praise for his chief of staff, during a private White House event held Friday night, and that none of the rumors have been confirmed.

News of Kelly's imminent departure was first reported by Axios.

Some reports said that the retired Marine Corps general's relationship with Mr Trump had deteriorated. "Trump's chief of staff is Trump and always will be". Kelly took part in at least four Oval Office meetings with Trump on Thursday.

Cavs trade Hill, Dekker for Dellavedova, Henson & two draft picks
The deal came together Friday in time for teams to be able to repackage players in other trades before February's trade deadline. For the Bucks, this is a salary-clearing situation as they'll save $18 million in cap space for the 2019-20 season.

Trump said the date of transition is "to be determined". In recent months, the chief of staff's power has ebbed, with administration policies and decisions being guided more by the president's gut instincts than by Kelly's processes.

But after the midterm elections in November, Trump said "let's see what happens", about Kelly's future at the White House, during an interview on "Fox News Sunday".

This story will be updated.

He announced Friday that he'll nominate William Barr, who served as attorney general under President George H.W. Bush, to the same role in his administration. Investigators reportedly wanted to know about reports that Trump had attempted to fire the special prosecutor.
