Motorola P40 specifications and design leaked

The first of the P-series include the Motorola P30, Motorola P30 Play a.k.a Motorola One, and the Motorola P30 Note a.k.a Motorola One Power. This should be motivation enough to launch a successor next year, which will likely be called the Motorola P40 in China.

If these renders turn to be authentic, then the Motorola P40 will be the first smartphone from the company to feature a punch-hole design as seen on the Honor V20, Huawei Nova 4 and Samsung Galaxy A8s.

This phone has a front-facing camera cut into its display, removing need for a notch. The display has uniform bezels on the sides and the top, and is relatively thicker at the bottom. Well, although the Motorola P40 has been showing with an in-display selfie camera in the renders there's something different. Another highlight will be 48MP primary rear camera, though specification of the secondary camera is unclear at this point.

Saudi king shakes up government in wake of Khashoggi killing
Hamad al-Sheikh, a royal court adviser and former college dean who studied in the USA , was appointed minister of education. Jubeir was effectively demoted to minister of state for foreign affairs, the decree added without offering any explanation.

Along with the new design, the biggest difference with the P40 compared to the P30 is that it will likely see an worldwide release in markets other than just China. Below the camera bump is the usual Moto logo which could be home to a fingerprint scanner, so it appears the device won't feature an under-display scanner. The screen size hasn't changed and remains 6.2-inches. While the Motorola P40 in China will come with some custom skin on top, the global variant as an Android One device should ship with stock Android Pie out-of-the-box.

The Motorola P40 also has a USB-C port at the bottom and a 3.5mm audio jack at the top. The P40 will sport dual camera setup on the back panel which will be aligned in a vertical fashion.

There's now no word on the P40's release date or pricing, but even so, is this a phone you think you'll consider buying in 2019?
