Six passengers fall ill on flight

Health officials investigate as several passengers fall ill on Frontier Airlines flight

The sick individuals were taken off the plane to be evaluated in Tampa.

At least six passengers were stricken and "the primary symptom was vomiting", Janet Scherberger, spokeswoman for Tampa International Airport, told NPR in an email.

Frontier Airlines and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport were not immediately available for comment.

The city of Cleveland says while it's not known yet what caused the illnesses, Frontier Airlines reported that each of the sick passengers might have used a public drinking fountain before the flight. The remaining travelers were allowed to deplane shortly after 4:30 p.m. with no additional reports of people getting sick.

Klopp: Liverpool immune to Premier League title hype
Things went downhill quickly for United fans, as David Moyes took over and finished 7th in his first season in charge. Brighton also boosted their survival chances by beating Everton 1-0 thanks to Jurgen Locadia's solitary goal.

The six passengers were removed from the flight upon landing and received medical attention. The aircraft was met by local emergency medical services upon arrival in Tampa. In the meantime, officials are sending water samples from airport fountains to a lab for evaluation. No other passengers got sick at the airport. "Passenger safety is Frontier's number one priority", the airline said.

More than 11,000 passengers traveled through the Cleveland airport on Tuesday and no other travelers reported similar illnesses, the city said.

"CDPH, Cleveland Water and CLE airport staff are working collaboratively to investigate all potential causes, including passenger activities before arriving at the airport", the city statement said.
