Krispy Kreme delivers to cops mourning loss of doughnut truck

Lexington police shared posts on social media of burned truck. Officers jokingly mourning the loss

On Monday, Lexington Police shared photos of its officers shedding a tear in front of the burned-out Krispy Kreme truck.

Krispy Kreme has made a special delivery to a Kentucky police department after a truckload of doughnuts was lost in a fire.

The photos prompted other police forces across the United States to offer support.

Other commenters online noted the doughnuts were really "krispy" after the box truck fire.

And the New York Police Department said they were ready to help, saying they were sending backup donuts.

No one was hurt during the fire, which destroyed the truck.
