The moment Christian Bale thanked Satan at 2019 Golden Globes

Actor Christian Bale raised eyebrows when he publicly thanked the Satan for inspiring his role as Dick Cheney in Vice during his Golden Globes acceptance speech for Best Actor.

He said: "Thank you to my attractive wife, who told me, 'Less is more'".

"What do you think, Mitch McConnell next?" he quipped.

And Christian Bale continued to send fans wild as they claimed he putting on the "worst Cockney accent ever" during his acceptance speech for his role as Dick Cheney in the film Vice.

Going into the ceremony, Vice led with six nominations, including best musical or comedy, best supporting actress for Amy Adams, best supporting actor for Sam Rockwell, and best director and best screenplay for McKay.

Expect Longer Security Lines At US Airports — Travel Warning
The number of people calling out sick have increased by 200 percent to 300 percent at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. If you have a flight to the USA coming up, you might want to give yourself a little extra time at the airport.

James Franco won the Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy or musical past year for "The Disaster Artist". "To me, that's honorable", Bale told the publication.

Bale has been widely praised for his portrayal of a growling Cheney in "Vice", gaining 60 pounds for the part and seemingly disappearing into the role of the resilient and ruthlessly ambitious politician.

The Church of Satan, based in America, responded saying "Satan is a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism... as Mr. Bale's own talent and skill won him the award, this is fitting".

Bale also thanked his wife and children. I can sink and ruin a perfectly good movie and so-so career in one speech. "Hail Christian! Hail Satan!".

"Thank you to that geezer over there, [director] Adam [McKay]. So thank you for that advice, my love".
