McIlroy reflects on disappointing final round in Hawaii

The challenge now is to finish off the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

American Xander Schauffele, the 2017 Tour Championship victor, jumped out of the pack and ran down Woodland with an awesome final-round of 11-under par 62 that included two eagles - one from a chip-in at the par-five ninth and then a 100-metre wedged hole-out at the par-four 12 hole.

"I obviously could have shot a better score, but I did what I wanted to do, gave myself plenty of chances, just couldn't get the ball to drop", McIlroy said.

"Well it means I get to come back, which is even better", Schauffele said of qualifying for next year's Tournament of Champions with the victory.

"It was a insane day", Schauffele said.

Schauffele finished at 23-under 269, and then watched from the scoring trailer as Woodland missed a 10-foot birdie putt at the par-five 18th that would have forced a playoff.

"And, honestly, I don't think anyone could have beaten Xander today".

Schauffele holed-out from 107 yards on the 12th fairway for eagle and picked up another shot at the driveable 14th to join Woodland on 20 under, before adding a close-range gain at the next to take the outright lead.

Paul Manafort Allegedly Shared 2016 Polling With Russia-Linked Associate
Sections of the filing were meant to be redacted, but the text underneath several blacked-out lines could be copied and viewed. The latest allegations further detail how Manafort's work on the campaign intersected with his past global work with Kilimnik.

"I played in six final groups previous year, a lot of them coming from behind, and I probably just pushed a little too hard trying to catch up, trying to play a ideal first six holes and it didn't really work out for me", he said. He set tournament marks with the lowest closing round by a victor and the largest 18-hole comeback (five shots).

'So that's the sort of mindset I need to try to get back into'.

"I knew it was going to be a birdie-fest coming in". I would have had to have gone out there and shot nine-under-par.

"The next step in my career is to learn to be cool under the gun, having a lead and maintaining it".

"I have no idea what really works for me yet".

"The evolution of our streaming partnership with Twitter over the past three years has led to extraordinary feedback from our fans globally", said Rick Anderson, Chief Media Officer of the PGA TOUR.

"This year, we will reach and continue to serve highly engaged golf fans every day throughout the PGA TOUR season by pairing those conversations with live programming and real-time highlights, all in one place on our platform". "I can't tell you what the winning formula is". "Frustrated right now but Xander played great, hat's off to him".

Schauffele hammered a 5-wood onto the par-5 18th green to 12 feet, narrowly missing his third eagle of the final round.
