Sevilla chief Caparros: Major competition for Chelsea striker Morata

Real Madrid celebrate

The Spain worldwide has scored just 16 Premier League goals since movving to Chelsea in July 2017 in a reported £60 million ($76m) deal and he has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this month.

He has eight goals in 16 La Liga matches so far this season and would undoubtedly offer a striking upgrade on Leo Bonatini - who is now backup to Raul Jimenez.

Caparros is said to have met with Morata's agent as Sevilla position themselves to make a loan bid, but a transfer is unlikely to be straightforward and the Spanish side are not optimistic.

Sarri stuck to the same strategy for the 1-0 loss to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg last night.

"We are interested in Morata, but it is a very complicated operation due to his cost", Caparros told Sevilla's official television channel.

NASA probe discovers new planet
Because TESS is programmed to look at a portion of the sky for only 27 days, any planets with a longer orbit are hard to identify. Over the course of two years, the four wide-field cameras on board will stare at different sectors of the sky for days at a time.

Secondly, in the case of a loan deal, Chelsea are not willing to pick up any of Morata's annual nine-million-euro salary, meaning that any club hoping to sign the Spain striker will have to factor in a sizeable sum in wages.

"The player [Morata] wants to come here over other options, but the negotiation with Chelsea will be very complicated".

For that reason, the story suggests that Chelsea FC may find it hard to tempt the Cherries into selling Wilson this month.

Bournemouth's Callum Wilson, Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi and AC Milan's Gonzalo Higuain have also been linked with the Stamford Bridge side.
