And the Job for Hosting the Oscars Goes to…No One

Hart will not be returning to host the Oscars and has emphatically said so. The producers and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the group behind the Oscars, are looking for top talent needed to carry the telecast, which is just six weeks from airing live, on February 24, from Hollywood's Dolby Theatre.

A few days after his old tweets went viral, Hart claims the Academy asked that he apologize.

According to Variety, the award show's producers will instead choose a handful of Hollywood A-listers to introduce the various segments of the show.

The prestigious Academy Awards show highlighting Hollywood's most notable films and talents is radically changing its format after 30 years.

Now that Kevin Hart has officially turned down the second chance at hosting the Oscars, even after some poking and prodding from Ellen DeGeneres, the ceremony is officially without a host.

The decision was reached about a month after actor Kevin Hart withdrew from the Oscars hosting gig.

The last time the Oscars aired without a host was in 1989, which opened with a musical number performed by Rob Lowe and Snow White. "It's a choice that I've personally made to say I'm not addressing it anymore".

It's said that the show's producers are now working overtime to try and sign up as many big-name Marvel stars as possible and that several cast members were asked not to present at the Golden Globes in order to make their appearances at the Oscars that little bit more special.
