Ariana Grande cancels Grammys performance after fall out with producers

According to Variety, Ariana Grande has made a decision to boycott the Grammys due to a disagreement over the song selection of a medley performance supposed to take place during the gala.

She's been nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance for God Is A Woman and Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener.

The singer and producers at first reached a compromise, agreeing that 7 Rings would be part of a medley that Grande was to perform but the artist pulled out completely after they demanded they be allowed to choose the second song.

An insider claims that Grande felt, "insulted" after Grammy producers wouldn't let her perform her new song, 7 Rings, which dropped three weeks ago.

The song - which was released along with a video last month - is featured on the chart-topper's new album titled, Thank U, Next which is set to be released on Friday.

Scientists searching for owner of USB stick found frozen in seal poo
The stick was in good condition - "considering where it had come from" - and the researchers let it dry out for a few weeks. It turns out that USB thumb drives can as well, at least when the pinniped digestive system is involved.

A source close to the situation stated that these preconditions weren't enforced on any of the other performers - like Cardi B, Shawn Mendes and Miley Cyrus. Both sides were thereby at an impasse in negotiations, to which the Grammy's counteroffered Lorde a spot in the Tom Petty tribute performance.

Gaga is also nominated in the best pop solo performance category for Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'?).

The hit is her latest release and it broke Spotify's record for the most plays in a 24-hour period.

The 61st Grammys, hosted by Alicia Keys, airs Sunday, February 10 at 5 PM ET live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS.
