It’s official: Nobody’s hosting the 2019 Oscars

A varied first round of presenters for the 91st Academy Awards was revealed yesterday.

The Oscars ceremony was left hostless after actor and comedian Kevin Hart pulled out in December following a backlash on social media over homophobic tweets he made several years ago resurfaced.

As we countdown the days until this year's Academy Awards where a new Best Picture victor will be named, you can and should cast your vote for the films of Oscars' past!

"From blockbuster hits to intimate tales of the human spirit, the movies we celebrate at the Oscars connect us in a way that is both moving and powerful", said Karey Burke, President, ABC Entertainment. After that, it was pretty clear that we were going to stay the course.

Following the departure of Kevin Hart amidst controversy, no replacement host has been named.

Ronda Rousey Says Becky Lynch Needs Her to Main Event WrestleMania
Lynch repeatedly rejected the offer, which led to McMahon announcing that she was suspended indefinitely until she saw a doctor. WWE Raw kicked off last night with Stephanie McMahon's return to the show after a gap of nearly two months.

On Monday they announced the first wave of presenters, which include Oscar winners Brie Larson and Whoopi Goldberg, Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Chris Evans and Tessa Thompson, Crazy Rich Asians co-stars Constance Wu and Awkwafina, as well as Jennifer Lopez, Daniel Craig, Charlize Theron and comediennes Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph. Speaking of the next presenters' list, the Academy will announce the same in the coming weeks.

The Oscars will officially have no host for its 2019 telecast.

She added that speculation over the shape of the ceremony was an encouraging sign that the Oscars were still relevant.

According to History.com, the letter read: "The 61st Academy Awards show was an embarrassment to both the Academy and the entire motion picture industry". "This year's show maintains Oscar traditions, and is also evolving to reflect our global audience".

The Oscars will take place on February 24 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
