Nintendo delays its very first Mario Kart game for mobile

Switch software sales have surpassed 163.61 million since the hybrid console released in March 2017.

Just hours after announcing that its mobile Mario Kart game has been delayed to summer 2019, Nintendo offered up some good news for fans of its mobile division.

Nintendo is planning to boost its smartphone gaming efforts with the release of a new Dr Mario World game later this year.

Nintendo was once fiercely against releasing mobile games, but as fate would have it, this would prove a somewhat successful and lucrative endeavor for the company. It has released mobile titles with DeNA Co Ltd and CyberAgent Inc but has yet to score a big hit.
