BTS Will Make An Appearance at the Grammys 2019 This Weekend!

BTS K Pop Band

It is official - BTS will be making their first appearance at the Grammys this year!

Big Hit Entertainment responded to the reports and stated, "BTS will be attending the 61st Grammy Awards to present an award".

The band are up for the Best Recording Package for their album Love Yourself: Tear, alongside fellow nominees including St Vincent and Foxhole. Their time on stage as presenters is further recognition for the global superstars.

The band's record label also says they'll present a music prize but the Grammys hasn't confirmed whether or not the band will be there.

The news was reported by Variety on Monday (Tuesday morning in Manila). It marks the first time a K-Pop album made the cut for any category from the prestigious award-giving body.

Expect ice pellets and freezing rain Thursday
Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning for Waterloo Region and the surrounding area on Wednesday morning. Canada Post says all mail delivery was also suspended on Wednesday afternoon due to treacherous conditions.

BTS, which has seen vast global success in recent years, charmed tens of thousands of Singapore fans last month during their sold-out show at the National Stadium. The art director of "Love Yourself: Tear" is HuskyFox.

That means their achievement came in eligibility for the 2018 ceremony - putting them out of the running for the 2019 awards. Among those who confirmed their attendance are Cardi B, Miley Cyrus, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Brandi Carlile, Dan + Shay, H.E.R., Post Malone with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Janelle Monáe and Kacey Musgraves.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar leads the way in nominations with eight, followed by Drake with seven and producer Boi-1Da on six.

The Grammys will be aired on Sunday, February 10, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
