Lagonda All-Terrain Concept Is Aston Martin's First Electric SUV

Lagonda All Terrain Concept Aston Martin electric SUV teased before Geneva

This is the same factory at which Aston Martin (which Lagonda was merged with in 1947) will produce its upcoming Lamborghini Urus-rivalling DBX luxury SUV.

The SUV, which will rival the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, follows the reveal of the Lagonda Vision saloon concept shown at Geneva previous year, when Lagonda was relaunched as the maker of high-tech luxury cars that feature all-electric power and arresting design making use of EV packaging advantages.

However, owner Aston Martin revived Lagonda at last year's Geneva show, presenting it as a standalone zero-emission luxury brand.

Based on the platform and electric tech of the Lagonda Vision Concept.

The SUV concept is understood to be closely related to the sedan in its footprint, architecture, interior and chassis, and powertrain technology.

Fears for 30 trapped in rubble of fallen Istanbul flats
At least three people were killed when a seven-story building on Istanbul's Asian side collapsed, authorities said Wednesday. At least three people have been found dead in the rubble, and 13 people - including Tekgoz - have been rescued.

At last year's Geneva motor show Aston Martin took the event by storm, unveiling the strikingly futuristic and fabulously opulent Lagonda Vision Concept - a vehicle which pitched the sub brand as a near-future solution to the question of luxury motoring in the next decade. While the teaser image is clearly just of a concept and not an actual production vehicle, it doesn't look like it will be a traditional SUV but more of a coupe-like SUV, something similar to the Lamborghini Urus. The British vehicle manufacturer will also display a new Vantage, DB11 AMR, and DBS Superleggera at the event. Having been teased last spring, we already know it will borrow heavily from the design language previewed by Vision Concept.

The electric SUV will go into production in 2021 and will be followed by a sedan in 2022, as Aston Martin has previously hinted.

"I'm expecting the Aston Martin Lagonda stand to be busier than ever, and very much look forward to seeing the crowd's reaction first-hand", he added.

It was back in 2018 when Aston Martin confirmed the return of the 'Lagonda' name.

Little has been revealed as yet, but Lagonda says its new model will bear the "hallmarks" of the Vision Concept unveiled at last year's show.
