Iran and Israel trade threats of destruction

The threat came as Iran marked the 40th anniversary of its revolution with rallies and marching that featured chants and banners calling for "Death to America", and "Death to Israel".

Waving Iranian flags, chanting "Death to America" and burning USA and Israeli flags, hundreds of thousands of people poured out onto the streets across Iran on Monday, marking the date that's considered victory day in the country's 1979 Islamic Revolution.

The country's military also displayed missiles along rally routes.

"The United States does not have the courage to fire a single bullet at us despite all its defensive and military assets".

At a parade to mark the anniversary, Iran showed off its weaponry, including a ground-to-ground missile that can travel a distance of 700 kilometers.

Rouhani also promised the crowds that Iran would overcome the economic hardship amid the country's spiraling economy and the newly imposed US sanctions.

Last year, Iran cracked down on protests over poor living standards in over 80 cities and towns that posed the most serious challenge to its clerical leadership since a 2009 revolt over disputed elections. Iranian state TV, which said millions participated in the celebrations, ran archive footage of the days of the uprising and played revolutionary songs.

According to Channel 12 news, the factory is meant to focus on producing precision missiles, dramatically upgrading the threat to Israel from the vast arsenal of rockets and missiles deployed against it in southern Lebanon by Iran's proxy, Hezbollah.

Netanyahu warns Iran of 'last Revolution Day' after regime's threats on TA
State TV showed crowds defying rainy weather and carrying Iranian flags while shouting anti-Israeli and anti-US slogans. President Hassan Rouhani said at a rally in the capital that Iran was determined to expand its military power.

He said, "We will not let America become victorious.Iranian people have and will have some economic difficulties but we will overcome the problems by helping each other".

Last year, Bolton told a meeting of Iranian exiles that "before 2019, we here. will celebrate in Iran". "But if they attack us, we will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground", Brig.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani delivered a fiery speech in Azadi Square in Tehran on Monday.

A commander from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) threatened to destroy the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa if the United States attacks Iran, state news agency IRNA reported, provoking a strongly worded response from Israel.

Bolton, a leading hawk in the Trump administration's attempt to weaken Iranian influence, was tweeting as a huge crowd in Tehran gathered to celebrate the 1979 revolution, in which Muslim leader Ayatollah Ruholla Khomeini ended the centuries-old rule of the royal dynasty.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the threat.

"If this regime makes the bad mistake of trying to destroy Tel Aviv and Haifa, it will not succeed", he said. "They would do well to take that into account".

Today, Iran enjoys influence through proxies in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen, raising concerns in Sunni Saudi Arabia, which accuses its rival of trying to dominate the Middle East. Tehran denies the allegations.
