Jeremy Lin getting bought out, plans to sign with Raptors

The buyout is expected to be finalized by Monday and Lin may sign with the Raptors as soon as mid-week, according to agents Jim Tanner and Roger Montgomery via ESPN.

After reports of backcourt help being on the way in the form of Jeremy Lin, the Raptors have been hit with some bad news.

Lin has averaged 11.8 points in 457 career games.

With the Hawks, he has come off the bench, playing behind rookie first-round draft picks Trae Young and Kevin Huerter.

Google Maps tests AR navigation, feature available to limited users
Firing up Google Maps to figure out where to go is set to get a lot easier with a new feature the company is now testing. Once his location was pinned down, it displayed big arrows and directions in his screen, the report said on Saturday.

Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet is sidelined with a partial ligament injury to his left thumb, the team announced Monday.

Lin, 30, is averaging 10.7 points and 5.3 assists in just 19.7 minutes per game for the Hawks in his return to action after a season-ending injury previous year. The Raptors would be the eighth National Basketball Association team Lin has played for in his career, which includes stops with the Warriors, Knicks, Rockets, Lakers, Hornets, Nets, and Hawks.

The Toronto Raptors shored up their roster ahead of a playoff run by acquiring three-time All-Star center Marc Gasol earlier in the week, but they're not done improving yet.

The Raptors are now one game back of the Milwaukee Bucks for the top seed in the Eastern Conference, as they both have 41 wins but the Raptors have two extra losses.
