Knicks Remove Kevin Durant Photo From Season-Ticket Advertising

Knicks Using Kevin Durant

In the midst of strong rumours linking Durant with a move to the Knicks this summer, it may be beyond coincidental that the Knicks used the Golden State Warriors star in their promotional material.

And, if Kevin Durant is available, the Knicks would gladly welcome him into Madison Square Garden with open arms.

The team seems to be so sure, that they desperately attempted to lure season ticket renewals by using Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson with Kevin Durant in the background.

"Game action photos are used all the time for marketing purposes, but given everything going on, we took the precaution of taking the photo down", the Knicks said in a statement. The association caused a stir when a Knicks season-ticket holder pointed out the photo in a social media post.

PUFF, PUFF, PURR?: Pot smokers find caged tiger in abandoned house
An overweight tiger was found abandoned in a Houston home on Monday. "They can be extremely unsafe ". It is now on its way to an undisclosed animal sanctuary while officers try to find its owner.

The Knicks might have taken the image down to avoid a tampering fine from the National Basketball Association, or at least a warning from the league, as it already has an issue with prominent players appearing to eye their next teams before their contracts are up. Durant was unhappy with speculation that followed after he didn't speak to the media for eight days following the Knicks trading of Kristaps Porzingis to clear cap space for this offseason.

The photo was part of a pitch to season-ticket holders to renew their packages for the 2019-20 season.

The Atlanta Hawks were fined for tampering in 2013 when an email to season-ticket holders mentioned "players who are now under contract to other teams but who will become free agents [in the] summer".

Durant has won two consecutive National Basketball Association titles since joining the Warriors as a free agent before the 2016-17 season.
