Apple has talked with publishers including The New York Times, the Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal, but they (and others) have concerns about Apple's terms. Last year, the company unveiled the iPad 6, the first-ever low-priced slate from the manufacturer to feature support for the Apple Pencil, on March 29. This year, the company will use the event to announce its rumored subscription news service, according to a new report from BuzzFeed.

This so-called "Netflix for news" service would allow customers to access an unlimited amount of content from included publishers for a monthly fee.

While the look and feel of the new Apple AirPods 2 won't be very different from the AirPods, Apple is likely to be making some other changes within the gadget.

If the rumor proves to be true, the AirPods 2 release date could coincide with the iPhone 11's predicted launch date in early September.

Apple is reportedly planning to hold a keynote on March 25th where the company will reveal its often-rumored news subscription platform, according to a BuzzFeed News report.

Big publishers are pushing back against Apple's alleged financial terms for a news subscription service, sources have claimed. Once again, the source mentions that there will be no new hardware during the event.

Activision Blizzard plan to cut hundreds of jobs
The company's average trading volume now stands at 11.69M shares, which means that the short-interest ratio is just 5.79 days. Outperform is an analyst recommendation which means that a stock is expected to do slightly better than the market return.

First published February 12 at 1:58 p.m. PT. Update, 3:43 p.m.: Adds that The New York Times declined to comment.

"We believe there will be another event in April at which point we expect iPad and product announcements to be launched".

The news comes shortly after The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple has run into resistance from news publishers over a proposed revenue split that would see Apple pocket 50%.

Apple declined to comment on the report. Compared to online newspaper subscriptions and well known news sites, the cost is not unreasonable, especially by Apple's pricing standards.
