EA wants to bring Apex Legend to Android and iOS

The dreaded connection error screen in Apex Legends

At the same time, Titanfall 2, a two-year-old first-person shooter also by Respawn Entertainment, is seeing a resurgence in popularity alongside growing obsession with Apex Legends.

The free-to-play shooter has frequently been touted to have what it takes to challenge Fortnite: Battle Royale for the crown, but only if the game can grow in the right direction.

But Fortnite has proven that there are plenty of people out there who want to play these games on mobile devices, and they're willing to spend their cash on them, too. "Fortnite" maker Epic Games is privately held, though Chinese investment firm Tencent Holding (OTC: TCEHY) holds about a 40 percent stake.

While some have offered suggestions to Tfue on ways he can avoid stream snipers in his games, the superstar has pretty much made it clear that he would rather stop streaming the game than jump through all the hoops required to prevent it from happening. Apex has since surpassed 10 million players in three days.

Apex Legends is only a week old, though you wouldn't know it considering it has scored 25,000,000 unique player accounts and over 2,000,000 players have been online concurrently, both numbers setting new records.

Russian lawmakers pass first draft of Internet-isolation legislation
Russian Federation is shutting off its internet as part of a dramatic test to help it defend against devastating cyber attacks. It's supposed to take place sometime before April 1, as this is the last day for submitting amendments to the proposed law.

Currently, Apex Legends pits twenty teams of3 against one another, as players choose between class-based characters called Legends.

Unfortunately, Apex Legends fans could face a similarly agonising wait until the title appears on the latest-generation Nintendo console, which can be played on a HD TV via the bundled dock, or on-the-go using the built-in 720p touchscreen.

Player counts aren't the only signs of Apex Legends' success.

Only time will tell whether Apex Legends can sustain explosive growth and stick around for as long as Fortnite has.

Apex Legends is developed by Respawn Entertainment - the same studio behind Titanfall - and there are a number of things that have helped it become insanely popular.
