Former Vikings DT Sheldon Richardson expected to sign with the Browns

The Browns are expected to sign Richardson to a three-year deal worth up to $39 million, including $21.5 million guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cleveland's new front four of Myles Garrett, Larry Ogunjobi, Richardson and Vernon combined for 30.5 sacks, 81 quarterback hits and 33 tackles for loss in 2018.

NY traded Richardson to Seattle in 2017 before he signed past year with the Vikings.

Heading into the 2019 offseason, the Minnesota Vikings knew they were likely going to lose some pretty talented players to free agency.

In the time since Francois' departure, Blackman has been the only eligible scholarship quarterback on campus. Last month, Hornibrook said he would transfer from Wisconsin after he graduates from business school in May.

Sources told NFL Network Richardson will sign a three-year, $36 million contract.

Another possibility is through trade, and speculation surrounding New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. and the Browns won't go away.

Named to the Pro Bowl in 2014, Richardson has 333 tackles and 23.5 sacks in 89 career regular season games with 87 starts.

Richardson was suspended for the Jets' first four games in 2015 season for violating the substance-abuse policy for testing positive for marijuana.
