Chelsea boss Sarri: Dynamo Kiev pitch a disaster

Unai Emery and Maurizio Sarri have their eyes on the prize

"I think this is unfair from them", he told a news conference ahead of facing Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League.

They have a three-goal advantage after comfortably defeating Kiev at Stamford Bridge last week in the first leg of their round of 16 tie.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was delighted with his side's performance, hailing their first-half efforts in particular.

Sarri also criticised the governing body for being extremely officious on bureaucratic matters but more lax when it comes to player safety on poor pitches.

"The pitch is not good and I think that it's really unsafe to play any football here".

"We scored after five minutes which was a very hard situation for the opponents". I don't know the reason: probably the winter.

Wall St up as inflation data supports dovish Fed; Boeing slips further
The yield on the 10-year Treasury note fell to 2.61 percent from 2.64 percent late Monday. Bank stocks also showed early strength, with Morgan Stanley gaining 1.6 percent.

"I don't know the reason, probably winter, because I played here two years ago and the pitch was wonderful [but it is now] very, very unsafe". I think that it's unsafe, really risky.

"So, even when the players aren't in good moments or play well, we need the fans to support us until the end of the game".

Marcos Alonso, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Olivier Giroud, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Andreas Christensen, Davide Zappacosta and Willian all start.

"That's why I score maybe less goals in the championship (Premier League)". Sarri insists he will not keep players against their will.

Questions have been asked about Sarri's lack of flexibility in his tactics, but Willian backed the Chelsea coach's use of Jorginho.

"It's a mad one because a young English player at Chelsea at that age then you really want him to sign that long-term contract". He never says something about Real Madrid. But I hope, tomorrow, we just play well and win this game.
