Kyler Murray skips measurement, throws at pro day

Patriots scouts present to see Kyler Murray throw at Oklahoma pro day

Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray goes through passing drills at the university's Pro Day for National Football League scouts in Norman, Okla., Wednesday, March 13, 2019.

Kyler Murray didn't run the 40-yard dash at Oklahoma's Pro Day.

Murray, a potential top pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, scaled in at 205 pounds Wednesday in Norman, Okla.

The Sooners clearly set Murray up for success, holding the throwing session indoors and keeping Murray stationary in the pocket, but he made the most of his audition.

The team can find out a lot more in a private workout with Murray than they will be able to find out a pro day that is put on by the university to make him look as good as they can.

"I felt fantastic leaving the combine, every meeting I had went well", he said.

Ryan Tannehill Traded From Miami Dolphins To The Titans
Tannehill was originally due $18.7 million in salary in 2019 and was set to count as $26.6 million against their salary cap. He'll become the backup to Titans starter Marcus Mariota , who missed time during the 2018 season with a shoulder issue.

"For him, it was just a matter of, it didn't make sense to run and do all those things", Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley said.

"Thought it went well", Murray said. Didn't have any - at least to my face, nobody was negative. "I think the film kinda speaks for itself".

There is no doubt that Murray was a special quarterback during his time at Oklahoma, and after measuring in over 5-foot-10, he is the favorite to now be the No. 1 overall selection in April.

In his first interview since those remarks, Murray declined to address Casserly's comments directly, before saying, "I don't think I would've done what I did [last season] if I didn't understand what defense were doing". "It was a great experience".

"Quarterbacks come in all shapes and sizes", said Shurmur.
