Another Brexit referendum would be unfair, says Donald Trump

Theresa May has earned another critic in her handling of Brexit, as if she didn't have enough, with Donald Trump condemning the prime minister for refusing to listen to his ideas on how to negotiate with the European Union.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar of Ireland, President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence pose for a photo during the Shamrock Bowl Presentation with Prime Minister of Ireland Leo Varadkar on March 14, 2019 at the White House in Washington, DC.

"It's a very complex thing right now, it's tearing a country apart, it's actually tearing a lot of countries apart and it's a shame it has to be that way but I think we will stay right in our lane", Mr Trump said.

"I will tell you, I'm surprised at how badly it's all gone from the standpoint of a negotiation", Trump said, sounding like he wasn't that surprised at all. Mr Trump said he had seen Mr O'Rourke's announcement and said: "I've never seen so much hand movement".

Trump did state his belief that Varadkar is now in a "complicated position" due to Brexit and stated his belief that the European Union has treated the U.S. "very unfairly" over the years.

Leo Varadkar will travel to Chicago tomorrow to continue his USA visit to mark St Patrick's Day celebrations.

Of his Irish grandfather, VP Pence said: "He was proud of being American but I can still hear that Irish brogue".

Mr Trump was asked if he was still a Brexit supporter.

Nadal Wins in Straight Sets to Reach Indian Wells Quarters
Edmund , who won the Indian Wells second-tier Challenger event last week, struggled on serve in the opening set. Afterwards, in a clear indication of her confidence, Andreescu said: "For me, the sky's the limit".

"I predicted it was going to happen, and I was right".

"They were very well briefed", Varadkar said of his meeting with Pence and his wife.

The breakfast came after a meeting between Pence and the prime minister previous year, where Varadkar "raised LGBT+ rights and equality issues", the UK's Independent reported. "I think it could have been negotiated in a different manner", he said.

"We shouldn't have a hard border or anything to disrupt the peace process", said Varadkar.

"I regret that Brexit is happening and the United Kingdom was a really important part of the European Union".

"On (EU) proposals around digital tax, we didn't support them and they have largely been parked", Mr Varadkar added.

Trump's intervention on Brexit is very welcome, according to pro-Brexit analyst Niles Gardiner, who worked for former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher after she left office.

Pence tweeted that he was honored to host Varadkar at his home.
